A Kentucky man is facing life in prison for a horrifying series of crimes, including the physical and sexual abuse of multiple children and cruelty to animals in the creation of criminal sexual fetish videos.
Christopher Michael Whittaker, aged 39, previously admitted guilt to a staggering 92 separate offenses, as reported by the Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office. This week, he received 10 life sentences for his actions.
The majority of these offenses revolve around the physical and sexual abuse inflicted on his girlfriend's children, who is also facing charges. Shockingly, eight of these offenses involve the torture of the family's pet cat.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Emily J. Arnzen expressed, "I’m limited in what I can say about this defendant because he still has similar charges pending in Grant County, Kentucky, but no matter what happens there, the world is a better place with Christopher Whittaker behind bars. We told everyone we’d bury Christopher Whittaker under the prison since the case began, and this is as deep as Kentucky law allows us to dig."
Details provided in court documents by prosecutors reveal the extent of Whittaker's depravity:
Between October and November 2016, Whittaker was involved in the abuse of his girlfriend's then-7-year-old son, who was non-verbal and had a feeding tube.
From January 2017 to July 2021, he repeatedly sexually abused Michelle Bray’s daughter, starting when she was under 12, and recorded these acts.
Between September 2021 and January 2022, he subjected the family's cat to repeated torture, all captured on video.
The common thread in these crimes was the creation of videos for sexual fetish purposes. Whittaker confessed to having a foot fetish and engaging in "trampling," while Bray, his co-defendant, stated that they participated in the BDSM fetish of crushing or trampling.
Whittaker's videos included disturbing scenes where Bray and her daughter walked on him, and multiple videos showed him raping Bray's daughter, starting before she reached the age of 12.
The defendant initially tried to blame one of the victims, but the evidence contradicted his claims.
Bray, facing a trial beginning next week, is charged with human trafficking, complicity to criminal abuse, promoting a sexual performance by a minor, and sexual abuse.
She could be sentenced to 70 years in prison.
In another development, Somorie Moses, a notorious pimp with a history of extreme violence, has confessed to the murder of his prostitute girlfriend and the sex trafficking of eight other women, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Eastern District of New York. See detailed story here
