Nicki Minaj's Husband, Kenneth Petty, Faces a 120-day House Arrest Over Social Media Threats To Cardi B's Husband, Offset
Kenneth Petty, the spouse of Nicki Minaj, received a 120-day house arrest sentence for violating probation terms due to posting social media clips that seemed to threaten Offset, Cardi B's husband.
In a court order filed on September 20 in the Central District of California, Petty was mandated to undergo home monitoring because he had been recorded making menacing statements in the presence of an individual with a criminal record.
The mentioned individual in the order is rapper Offset, and the videos in question involve a series of messages Petty directed at the rapper on social media on September 16.
In a widely circulated video on September 16, Petty and his group were outside a New York City hotel where Offset was reportedly staying.
In the video, amid various menacing remarks, Petty stated, "Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral, pussy!"
Offset responded to the threats in a video on his social media, dismissing them and suggesting that Petty had financial troubles.
It's worth noting that Petty was sentenced to three years of probation in July 2022 after pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in California in 2020.
In 1995, Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl and served four years in a New York prison.
Meanwhile in Manatee County, Florida, a couple has been apprehended on charges related to child exploitation, for producing and distributing child pornography involving minors aged between 10 months and 10 years old. See detailed story here
