Online Date Turns Nightmare: Asian National Drugged and Robbed in Colombia By A Woman He Met On A Dating App

An Asian national residing in Colombia had a harrowing experience when he met a woman through an online dating app.

Their initial plan was to meet at a restaurant in the city of Cali. However, the woman proposed going to his place, citing her reluctance to leave her cousin alone at home. The man, who lives in Colombia, agreed to host both women, and they suggested ordering food.

Things took a sinister turn when the man, after using his debit card to pay for the food, suddenly lost consciousness. Concerned about his unresponsiveness, a friend eventually found him in his apartment.

He was subsequently rushed to a local clinic, where he remained under observation for three days until regaining consciousness.

Surveillance footage revealed the women leaving the apartment with a bag and a box in their possession.

Using the victim's debit card, they embarked on a spending spree, accumulating charges totaling $3,890.

Shockingly, a significant portion of this amount, around $1,490, was spent on purchasing a ring from a jewelry store.

Now, the victim is pleading with Cali authorities to take action, track down the culprits, and recover his stolen money.

He raises concerns about the bank's lack of precautionary measures and the jewelry store's apparent oversight in selling an expensive item without proper identification verification.
