A Mississippi woman notorious for repeatedly crashing weddings and stealing gifts found herself in legal trouble once again, according to authorities.
Sandra Lynn Henson, 56, who had faced previous arrests for similar incidents, was apprehended in Alabama last Saturday while attending a wedding for which she allegedly had no invitation.
The Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department in Mississippi disclosed that she now faces charges of petit larceny, trespassing, and disturbing the peace.
The sheriff’s department shared on social media, "Apparently Miss Henson has been arrested in Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi for crashing weddings and stealing money and cards from purses."
Henson's history of wedding crashing dates back, as reported by AL.com. In 2019, she was charged with crashing two weddings in Alabama. Witnesses reported seeing her at weddings in Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee, where she helped herself to gift envelopes and money from purses in the dressing rooms.
While she later turned herself in to authorities, the outcome of that case remained unclear, as per local media reports.
In 2021, a Memphis television news outlet dubbed Henson the "Mid-South wedding crasher."
She had been convicted of theft and had her probation revoked, as reported by ABC 24. According to the terms of her sentence, Henson was originally slated for release in 2025, but the circumstances leading to her earlier release remain uncertain.
In another news, Mitchell Wasek, the son of Buc-ee's co-founder Don Wasek, has been accused of secretly recording guests at his family's Texas lake house while they used the bathroom, as per county records and local reports. See detailed story here
