Rick Ross was attacked by Drake fans after he played Kendrick Lamar's diss track aimed at the Canadian rapper in his own country.
Rick Ross, whose real name is William Roberts, concluded his set at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver on Sunday with Lamar's chart-topping track, "Not Like Us," which is a diss track for Drake.
As Ross stepped off the stage with the song still echoing, a group of fans confronted him, unhappy with his choice of music.
Footage of the altercation reveals one man punching Ross in the face after a brief verbal exchange, sparking an all-out brawl.
Lamar's track "Not Like Us" features serious allegations against Drake, released soon after Lamar's album "Meet The Grahams."
In the controversial song, Lamar accuses Drake, 37, of pursuing much younger girls, implicating another member of Drake's crew as well.
"Not Like Us" was uploaded on YouTube, accompanied by a graphic of Drake's home marked with red sex offender symbols.
In his lyrics, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Lamar targets Drake and his October's Very Own (OVO) crew directly.
Once friends, Ross and Drake now find themselves on opposite sides of this rap feud, with Ross clearly supporting Lamar.
Back in April, Ross antagonized the Canadian rapper online, claiming that Drake underwent surgery to remove fat and enhance his abs, mockingly calling him 'BBL Drizzy.'
Additionally, Ross accused the "God's Plan" artist of having a nose job in his song "Champagne Moments."
In his lyrics, Ross refers to Drake as a 'white boy,' rapping, 'That’s why you had an operation to make your nose smaller than your father’s nose.'
Drake denied altering his appearance, responding, 'I would have got us a 2 for 1 deal if I went, ma.'
Drake pushed back, highlighting their past collaborations and questioning Ross's motivations.
He also alleged that Ross used a diabetes drug known for promoting weight loss, claiming, 'He’s gone loopy off the Mounjaro, he hasn’t eaten in days and it’s turned him angry and racist,' and adding, 'He’s performing at proms for money, it’s bad don’t worry, we’ll handle it.'
Drake tagged Ross in an Instagram Story, writing, 'You’re one nosey goof.'
Following Drake’s denial, the "Lyrical Eazy" rapper retaliated swiftly.
Ross shared a video of his luxurious swimming pool with a yellow nose emoji, tagging Drake’s handle @champagnepapi and writing "BBL Drizzy."
In the clip, Ross remarked, 'I just realized BBL Drizzy called his mommy on me,' emphasizing the ongoing tensions between the two.
