Allison Havemann-Niedrach: New Jersey Teacher Charged After Alleged Sexual Relationship with 15-Year-Old Student
She said they met up in the teacher’s car when she visited, and felt they were spending too much time together.
According to the Freehold Police Department, forensic investigators discovered that she was deeply obsessed with the 15-year-old student, after they reviewed digital evidence.
After obtaining the boy’s phone, they uncovered over 25,000 messages exchanged between the teacher and the teenager over several months, as reported by Independent News.
According to police reports, most of these messages contained sexually explicit images and videos.
One particularly chilling video file allegedly showed Havemann-Niedrach and the victim having sexual intercourse, as reported by Asbury Park Press.
When initially confronted, the victim denied any wrongdoing, and even lied that he was dating Havemann-Niedrach’s daughter.
But after police showed him the digital evidence, he told his mother the truth and admitted to the sexual relationship.
The victim also admitted that they met several times outside of school, sometimes at hotels or at the teacher’s home.
Investigators later found hotel bookings, phone records, and credit card transactions that matched the victim’s story about their meetings.
The situation reportedly took a serious emotional toll on the teenager—he was later hospitalized for a mental health check after his confession.
Authorities later found out that the teacher tried to hide her actions by using messaging apps that had the dissappearing messages feature.
In one exchange, she reportedly reminded him that she could "get in big trouble" if anyone found out, saying that their bond was special.
However, forensic experts managed to recover deleted files from the victim’s device, making the case even stronger.
Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Zanzuccki, who heads the Special Victims Bureau, stated in court that Havemann-Niedrach showed an "obsessive" fixation on the boy.
On June 26, 2024, detectives from the Freehold Borough Police Department arrested Havemann-Niedrach at her home in Jackson.
The teacher was taken into custody without any trouble and brought to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, where she was officially charged with several felony crimes.
In August 2024, a Monmouth County Grand Jury filed a seven-count indictment against Havemann-Niedrach, according to the press release.
She was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, creating child sexual abuse material, and several counts of endangering the welfare of a child and official misconduct.
During the pretrial phase, the court enforced strict release conditions during her bail application.
Havemann-Niedrach was not allowed to have any contact with minors except her own children, and was banned from using devices with internet access.
She also had to give up her passport and was placed on home confinement with electronic monitoring after her lawyer, Thomas Huth, argued that she had strong community ties and no prior criminal record.
These rules were put in place to stop any chance of her tampering with witnesses or destroying evidence while the investigation was still ongoing.
Now that she’s been indicted, the case is expected to head to trial soon—unless Havemann-Niedrach agrees to a plea deal with prosecutors.
Remember, apps like Scentry and Bark can help you monitor your child’s messages—even if they use disappearing message features.
These tools are made to help you stay one step ahead of predators like Havemann-Niedrach, who try to hide in plain sight.
Before the scandal, she was seen as a community role model and was even named one of the "Phenomenal Women Under 40" by the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore in 2017.
But after the disturbing allegations surfaced, the organization cut all ties with her.
The Freehold Police Department and Special Victims Bureau are still investigating for further possible evidence or victims.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Dawn Correia at 800-533-7443.
Meanwhile, her husband, Eric Niedrach, started a GoFundMe to cover legal fees, but it only raised $75 out of the $4,000 goal.
The court process is being closely watched, with every update followed by concerned parents and members of the community.
