In Ocala, Florida, a local nurse has been accused of sexually assaulting her 15-year-old stepson.
According to New York Post, this alleged crime has led to the suspension of her medical license in April 2025.
Alexis Von Yates, 35, is facing felony charges for lewd or lascivious battery after her husband allegedly walked in on her with the teen last summer.
The Night of the Alleged Crime
According to police reports, the incident happened on July 26, 2024, when the victim was visiting his father for the summer vacation.
That night, the 15-year-old victim was left under the care of his stepmother, while his father, Yates’ husband, worked a late shift.
According to the arrest affidavit, Yates and the teenager spent time together in the living room after her husband left, and everything seemed normal at first.
They shared a THC vape, played video games, and watched movies, but as the night progressed, things took a disturbing turn.
The victim said that Yates later complained that the movie was "boring" and then started talking about how she was "sexually frustrated".
Yates then reportedly told the victim that she was "horny" and she hadn’t had sex in two weeks because she was on her period, as reported by Daily Mail.
The affidavit states that Yates and the teen began cuddling closely on the couch before the boy kissed her neck.
Yates allegedly responded by saying, "I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough"
She then reportedly removed her underwear, and the two engaged in oral sex and vaginal sex without using a condom.
Shockingly, the victim claimed that even when they heard the garage door open—indicating that Yates’ husband was back—they continued having sex and didn’t stop.

The Disturbing Aftermath: Victims Father Uncovers The Alleged Assault
When Yates' husband returned home and entered through the garage, he found his wife and 15-year-old son naked on the living room couch having sex, as reported by Daily Mail.
According to police reports, the father became extremely angry when he saw what was happening and shouted, "What the f*** is going on?"
He then started throwing things at them and kept calling Yates a "child predator" while using other curse words.
The teenager got scared and ran out of the house while Yates tried to calm her husband down.
According to the victim, Yates reportedly told her husband that the the 15-year-old looked like him when he was younger, and tried to justify her actions.
Instead of contacting law enforcement right away, the father made the questionable decision to drive his son to his grandparents' house.
The day after the incident, Yates called the victim and made several disturbing statements during the conversation.
She expressed regret that they had been interrupted, saying "I wish we kept going before your dad came home."
In what investigators described as particularly callous behavior, she asked the minor to rate her sexual performance, to which he reportedly gave her "seven out of ten."
According to the arrest affidavit, multiple relatives actively discouraged the teenager from reporting the assault.
His grandfather specifically instructed him not to inform his biological mother about what had occurred, as reported by Daily Mail.
However, in October 2024, a concerned family member finally submitted an anonymous tip that triggered the official police investigation.
Detectives futher uncovered disturbing details in their interviews with the victim.
The teen claimed Yates had been flirting with him for weeks before the incident.
He also said she even suggested that he should see "stepmom porn videos" and joked about him being her "little boy toy," as reported by Daily Mail.

Legal Proceedings and License Suspension
In November 2024, Alexis Von Yates was arrested and charged with lewd or lascivious battery involving a victim aged 12-16.
Court records show Yates pleaded not guilty during her December 2024 arraignment in Marion County.
She is currently out on bond and the case remains pending as of May 2025, with no trial date yet set.
If convicted, Yates faces potential prison time and mandatory registration as a sex offender.
According to investigators, the victim—now 16—is still suffering from serious emotional trauma.
Police reports note that he has been dealing with depression, trouble sleeping, and substance abuse since the alleged assault.
The late reporting of the incident—which took place in July 2024 but wasn’t investigated until October—prevented the victim from getting early access to support services.
Nearly five months after Yates was charged, the Florida Department of Health suspended her nursing license through an emergency order, citing her ongoing criminal case.
The order which was issued on April 25, 2025, stated that her alleged sexual involvement with a minor showed “a lack of good judgment and moral character” required to serve as a registered nurse, according to Ocala News.
Yates' defense attorney has maintained her innocence, but the Florida Board of Nursing found sufficient evidence to immediately suspend her license pending final disciplinary action.
The suspension order specifically noted that allowing Yates to continue practicing would pose "an immediate, serious danger to public health, safety and welfare."
"Nurses are placed in a position of trust," the state’s order read. "Ms. Yates’ decision to engage in sexual activity with a minor child indicates she lacks the judgment necessary to be a registered nurse."
The Florida Department of Health has initiated formal license revocation proceedings, which could permanently end Yates' nursing career.
State records indicate she has the right to appeal the suspension, though no such action had been filed as of early May 2025.
For now, the criminal case is still ongoing, with pretrial motions expected to take place in the coming weeks.
