Cassie Snay: Indiana Woman Arrested For Allegedly Having Sex With Dog

Authorities in Allen County, Indiana, have arrested 26-year-old Cassie Snay after detectives found chilling videos which allegedly showed her engaging in sexual acts with a dog, according to court records obtained by Law & Crime.

Snay is now charged with two counts of beastiality, both classified as Level 6 felonies under Indiana law.

The criminal investigation began in December 2024, when the Wells County Sheriff’s Office opened a case involving a man named Trey Metler.

He is a registered sex offender who is classified as a sexually violent predator due to a 2014 child molesting conviction.

According to police reports, Metler had a long history of failing to comply with Indiana’s sex offender registry requirements. Due to this, he was convicted for failing to register in 2022, 2023, and again in early 2025.

Despite these convictions, Metler failed to update his address and in January 2025, a detective stopped and arrested him. A search warrant was later obtained and his vehicle was searched by police.

During the search, investigators reportedly found illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and two cell phones, including an iPhone 14 in a red case.

When they searched the phone, police allegedly found approximately 69,000 images and 11,000 videos of child pornography on the phone which was accessed through messaging and social media applications such as Telegram, Snapchat, and Kik.

Metler was subsequently charged with multiple felonies, including possession of child pornography, possession of methamphetamine, and failure to register as a sex offender.

While reviewing the phone’s contents, detectives said they found disturbing photos and videos of Cassie Snay engaging in sexual acts with a black-and-tan dog.

According to the affidavit, cited by Law&Crime, investigators already knew Snay because she was in an on-and-off relationship with Metler. They also identified locations within the disturbing images as her residence in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

After an extensive investigation, detectives uncovered that the videos were created between January 17, 2024, and October 2024, involving the same dog.

Investigators say some videos were recorded at Snay’s mother’s home in Allen County, while GPS data from one file indicated another incident allegedly occurred at a Motel.

According to Law&Crime, authorities have not released any further details, due to the graphic nature of the material.

On September 19, 2025, a detective conducted a recorded interview with Snay, and according to police reports, she admitted that she made the photos and videos and sent them to Metler using her cell phone.

She also allegedly confirmed the dog belonged to her family and identified it by name.

On December 9, 2025, Snay was formally charged and arrested on a warrant. She appeared in Allen Superior Court on December 15, 2025, where a judge found probable cause to proceed with the case, as per Law&Crime.

Court records show Snay was appointed a public defender and released under monitored conditional release while the case remains pending.

After her arrest and release, Snay made public claims online that she was forced to commit the acts by Metler.

In Facebook comments reviewed by Law & Crime, she wrote, “I’d love to explain and show the world he beat me for this.”

When one person in the comments asked if she was being forced, she responded, “Yes. I was forced.”

Those claims have not been substantiated in court filings, and investigators have not indicated they change the charges at this time.
