Nathaniel Molden Sr.: Oklahoma Father Sentenced to 5 Years, Son to 7, After Disabled Daughter Gave Birth to Brother’s Child

In May, 2026, an Oklahoma father was sentenced to five years in prison for failing to protect his 18-year-old daughter with an intellectual disability, from years of sexual abuse by her own brother.

Nathaniel Molden Sr. had already pleaded guilty to child neglect, and he was the last of three family members to learn his fate, in a chilling case were DNA testing exposed the truth.

This disturbing case started in July 2024 when the Oklahoma Department of Human Services was told that an 18-year-old with an intellectual disability had given birth.

However, nobody could say who the baby’s father was, and when hospital workers began asking questions, the family's story kept changing.

First, the teenager and her mother both said a boyfriend was responsible. Then the young woman told a DHS worker something else entirely—she believed her own father might be the father, as per News 9.

That statement led police in The Village to take a closer look at Nathaniel Molden Sr. Their suspicions grew when they looked through his phone and found internet searches that raised serious alarms.

This included how to corrupt a DNA test and whether siblings share the same DNA, so investigators decided to collect DNA from every male in the household and sent the samples to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

When the results came back with a he biological father was not the dad. It was the victim’s 19-year-old brother, Nathaniel Molden Jr.

When detectives confronted the brother with the DNA evidence, he admitted to having sexual contact with his sister two years before she had the baby.

He also said his mother and father had caught the two siblings together in the past and just punished them, but that was it.

No one in the home ever called the authorities. Not when the abuse happened, and not even after a pregnancy brought everything to light.

That failure to act is what led to the parents arrest, and Deputy Chief Matt Butcher from The Village Police Department later explained why child neglect charges were filed.

“Part of the reason charges were filed on the parents was because there was no intervention to prevent actions toward this child,” he said. “At the time she couldn’t fend for herself.”

Body camera footage showed officers arresting all three family members one by one at their home.

While the legal process unfolded, the victim and her baby were placed in the custody of the Department of Human Services, and that’s where they remain.

The first to be sentenced was the victim’s brother, as per online reports. Nathaniel Molden Jr. was 19 years old when he admitted to incest and received a seven-year prison sentence in December 2024.

Then, in March 2026, the mother, Tameeka Molden, entered a no contest plea to child neglect. She got a seven-year deferred sentence and was placed on strict probation, with a clear warning that any violation would mean serving the full term in jail.

Two months later, in May 2026, the father took his own guilty plea and was sent to prison for five years.
