Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Having Improper relationship with 15-year-old for Over a Year

A woman named Tatum Hatch, aged 32, faces an accusation of soliciting a minor through a computer, as per the jail records of Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office. The allegations suggest that the woman wanted to be the first person the minor engaged in sexual activity with.

She mentioned she was worried that the minor might engage with someone else.

The events unfolded on December 15, 2023, when the minor confided in their father about the concerning relationship. According to reports, the involvement began well before the minor turned 15.

To substantiate the claim, the minor presented Instagram messages exchanged with the then-high school teacher from West Monroe, illustrating the allegations.

A recorded conversation between Hatch and the 15-year-old revealed discussions about potential sexual encounters. There's mention of Hatch planning to enter the minor's bedroom through the window, followed by a discussion about the nature of their interaction. The conversations also indicate fears expressed by both parties, including concerns about someone else taking the minor's virginity.

These exchanges reportedly occurred over a span of several months. There's mention of Hatch trying to minimize trouble by encouraging the minor to visit her instead of her visiting him, although she allegedly visited him once.

An alarming incident mentioned in the direct messages details how Hatch reportedly touched the minor inappropriately during a late-night meeting, with her infant in the nearby car.

During a formal interview, Hatch admitted to communicating with the minor on Instagram but expressed concerns about losing her children if she revealed certain details about their interactions.

Hatch also confessed to providing the minor with a sum of money, citing fear stemming from a rumor about the minor.

Forensic analysis of the minor's phone revealed a nude photo of Hatch, consistent with the minor's earlier statements to law enforcement.

Following the incident, Hatch was put on administrative leave on December 15, 2023, and resigned on December 26, 2023. She was subsequently arrested on January 3, detained in the Ouachita Parish jail, and released on $10,000 bond the next day.
