Maryrose Fealey: Shocking Murder of Addiction Recovery Advocate Rocks New Jersey Community


Tragedy struck Somerville, New Jersey this week when David C. Shroitman, 27, was arrested for allegedly stabbing Maryrose Fealey, 27, to death. Fealey, a passionate advocate for those battling addiction, was found brutally murdered on Jan. 30th, leaving the community reeling.

Former classmate Shroitman is suspected in the horrific act. Authorities allege he stabbed Fealey 37 times outside her apartment complex. While their connection remains unclear, reports suggest they graduated from the same high school in 2014.

Fealey, remembered for her infectious smile and unwavering commitment to helping others, founded the non-profit 4TheYoungerMe and actively supported organizations like Not An Easy Fix and Empower Somerset. Her death has left a void in the community, with many struggling to grasp the senseless act.
