In Denver, it's suspected that Tyler Boebert, the oldest son of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, may be involved in a group that stole credit cards from cars to buy stuff at gas stations and McDonald's, according to court papers released Wednesday.
Tyler, 18, was seen in a video from a gas station store with the group when one of the stolen cards was used for a buy, as per his arrest report. He was wearing a hoodie from Shooter’s Grill, a restaurant once owned by his mom, Lauren Boebert, and cops also recognized him from past run-ins.
Police in Rifle, a small city in western Colorado, said Tyler Boebert was arrested for a recent string of car break-ins and thefts and could face felony charges for having ID documents from multiple people and plotting a felony.
He also has more than 15 minor offenses, cops said. He got out Wednesday after a quick court appearance via video, wearing a striped jail outfit. His lawyer, Peyton Miller, said prosecutors agreed to let him go without bail, and the judge said okay.
No charges have been filed yet.

A prosecutor told the judge that they think minors were also involved in the card thefts, and the judge said to black out their names from the report.
Miller works for the state public defender’s office, which doesn't talk about its cases to the media. She didn't talk about the accusations in court.
Lauren Boebert said in a statement that she loves her son and he's going through a tough time that he didn't ask for, but he still needs to face the music like anyone else.
“It breaks my heart to see my child struggling and in this situation, especially when he has been provided multiple opportunities to get his life on track. I will never give up on him and I will continue to be there for him,” she said.
Lauren Boebert, a big supporter of former President Donald Trump, used to live near Rifle, a city of about 10,000, but moved to a different district in December for an easier reelection. She recently got a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband, saying he threatened her and trespassed in their home.
