Fort Lauderdale Tragedy: Jeweler Murdered Over Rolex Deal Gone Bad


Criminal Investigators in Fort Lauderdale have uncovered shocking details about the murder of 73-year-old jeweler Anthony D’Amore. 

His body was found in his office on December 21, 2024, three days after he was last seen entering the building with a man.

Law enforcement officials have now identified that man as Nenad Milosevich.

According to Local10News, an argument over a $20,000 Rolex turned violent, resulting in D’Amore’s tragic death.

Timeline of Events: From Disappearance to Arrest  

December 20, 2024: Surveillance footage shows D’Amore and Milosevich entering the office tower at 6245 N. Federal Highway around 10 p.m. Two and a half hours later, Milosevich is seen leaving alone, carrying a bag and a large item wrapped in a blanket.

December 21, 2024: After D’Amore failed to return home, his wife reported him missing. A welfare check by police led to the grim discovery of his body in the jewelry workshop.

Criminal Investigation 

The local police department quickly began an investigation into D’Amore's death, and soon, surveillance footage helped them identify Milosevich as a suspect.

He was arrested on December 28, 2024, and later confessed to the crime.

Milosevich, described as a “family friend” by D’Amore’s wife, told police he went to the jeweler’s workshop to finalize a jewelry purchase for his girlfriend. 

According to Local10News, Milosevich wanted to purchase a $20,000 Rolex for his girlfriend and had already paid $16,000. 

He claimed he wanted to collect the watch and additional jewelry and pay the balance later, but his friend refused.

The situation escalated, leading Milosevich to choke out D’Amore, as reported by Local10News.

Milosevich also admitted to stealing 20 pieces of jewelry and the workshop’s DVR recording device, which he reportedly threw off a bridge.  

At the crime scene, investigators found evidence of a violent struggle. 

D’Amore suffered injuries to his neck, back, and head, according to the police report.
