Sarah Grace Patrick: Georgia Teen Charged with Murder in Parents’ Double Homicide

In a shocking twist, a 17-year-old girl from Georgia who had publicly mourned the deaths of her mother and stepfather on social media, has now been arrested for killing them.

Her name is Sarah Grace Patrick, and police say she was just 16 when the crime allegedly happened.

She is now facing two murder charges and two aggravated assault charges for the deaths of 41-year-old Kristin Brock and 45-year-old James Brock.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Patrick turned herself in on July 8, 2025 after a warrant was issued for her arrest, as reported by NBC News

This true crime case has shocked the small town of Carrollton, Georgia, mainly because the teen posted emotional TikTok videos mourning her parents — even though she’s now accused of killing them.

Sarah Patrick

On February 20, 2025, deputies responded to a disturbing 911 call from the Brocks’ home on Carrollton Tyus Road.

When they arrived, they found the couple dead in their bed from apparent gunshot wounds.

Their 5-year-old daughter and Sarah Patrick were also inside the home when the killings happened.

Patrick, who called 911 to report the deaths — initially looked like a heartbroken daughter.

In the weeks after the murders, Patrick posted emotional videos on TikTok, sharing heartfelt tributes to her parents — all while allegedly hiding the truth about her role in their deaths.

In one video, she wrote, "They don’t know it but a year from now me and my 5-year-old sister would find them wrongfully shot dead in our home, and won’t get to watch me graduate high school, see me walk down the isle , and couldn’t even say goodbye.”

In another post, Patrick wrote that she felt “so home sick,” missed her parents “so much,” and said her life felt like a “horror movie that never ends.”

She captioned the video with, “Should prob delete later.”

James Brock and Kristin Brock

In another bizarre twist, Patrick reportedly reached out to a true crime creator on TikTok, asking her to talk about the case.

According to New York Post, Patrick reportedly messaged the TikToker on June 3, 2025, writing: "Look up Brock case... Kristin and James Brock. They’re my parents, and out of nowhere, a random Thursday night in February, someone came in my house... and left my parents for me and my 5-year-old sister to wake up to."

The TikToker went on to cover the story, thinking she was helping a grieving teen — unaware that the 17-year-old would later be arrested for the murders.

Patrick also left some questionable comments under the TikTokers post on the case.

For example, when someone asked what weapon was used, she simply replied with a gun emoji.

Her account, @sgrace04282, has since been removed from TikTok, after she was arrested.

As criminal investigators dug deeper into the case, they started spotting inconsistencies in Sarah Patrick’s story.

"From the very moment the 911 call was received, a relentless investigation began, one that would span months, consume thousands of hours, and require the full weight of local and federal law enforcement partnerships," the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

According to Law&Crime, Patrick said she didn’t hear any strange noises or gunshots, even though she was inside the house at the time.

She claimed it was her 5-year-old sister who found the bodies and told her, and that’s when she called 911 for help.

Also, according to a family friend, Kellie Brown, Patrick told her that the only sound she heard that night was her stepfather’s heart monitor alarm going off.

She claimed she thought it was just a background noise and didn’t think much of it.

After a five-month investigation, authorities issued an arrest warrant for Patrick.

Her biological father drove her to the police station, where she turned herself in and was taken into custody.

Ashley Hulsey, a spokesperson for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed that Patrick is being charged as an adult.

If convicted, Patrick faces life in prison without parole, as per New York Post.

"Our prayers remain with the families of James and Kristin Brock, and especially with their young daughter who was at home during this horrific crime," the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook.

Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive, but they haven’t ruled out the possibility of additional arrests.

"Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be just that key that cracks this case wide open," Hulsey said.

As of July 11, 2025, the case is still under investigation. Patrick has been denied bail, and it's currently unclear whether she has a lawyer representing her.
