A distressing incident unfolded at a Lowe's store on Crain Highway in Maryland when a woman was tragically struck, run over, and killed by a forklift. The suspect, identified as Brown, allegedly followed her, carried out the attack, stole her car, and fled the scene.
The victim, Gloristine Pinkney, 73, from Waldorf, was pronounced dead at the location.
Authorities initially responded to reports of a burglary and theft in progress at the Lowe's store. During their search of the area, they discovered the forklift in the Home Depot parking lot, with the woman trapped beneath it. Despite immediate medical attention, she could not be saved.

The investigation has not revealed any connection between Brown and Pinkney, suggesting that the attack was unprovoked and random. Detectives apprehended Brown on Sunday evening and located Pinkney's vehicle in close proximity to his residence. Through leads and evidence, the authorities were able to positively identify Brown as the suspect.
Brown, a resident of Waldorf, is facing charges including first-degree murder, second-degree murder, assault, and theft. He is currently being held without bond at the Charles County Detention Center. The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing.
