Pinellas County Mother Arrested After Allegedly Forcing Daughter, 11, to Perform in Sex Abuse Videos

A St. Petersburg mother is now facing 41 criminal charges, including capital crimes that are punishable by death.
According to Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, this case involved "graphic and grotesque" child sexual abuse and the production of child pornography.
It all began on October 10, 2025, when detectives received a tip about a 38-year-old man involved in obtaining child sexual abuse material and seeking to meet minors.
During their investigation, they discovered the man was receiving explicit videos of an 11-year-old girl from a woman later identified as the mother of the victim.
"The mother sent the man at least 14 very explicit and very involved photos of her daughter performing sex acts," Sheriff Gualtieri stated during a press conference.
According to police reports, the sexual abuse happened between March and April of this year.
Within this very short period, the mother created at least 14 videos of her daughter "posing at the mother’s direction and engaging in various sex acts," as per Fox13
"The things that the mother did to the daughter are graphic, and they are grotesque," Sheriff Gualtieri said, emphasizing the severity of the child abuse.
Authorities state that the mother used sex toys on the child and allegedly forced the girl to engage in acts of bestiality with the family dog in some of the disturbing videos.
"These acts constitute sexual battery or, as commonly referred to, rape, and because of the child’s age, the mother’s crimes are capital offense punishable by death," Gualtieri explained.
After executing a search warrant at the family's home, deputies arrested the mother on a total of 41 charges. These include:
- Four counts of capital sexual battery
- Three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation,
- 13 counts of transmission of child pornography
- 13 counts of sexual performance by a child, and three counts of sexual activity involving animals
The 38-year-old man, who hasn't been named by authorities, is also facing multiple felony charges, including possession of child pornography and traveling to meet a minor. Sheriff Gualtieri noted that the mother admitted to her crimes during an interview with detectives, as per Fox13.
The police say they are investigating the exact relationship between the mother and the man, which appears to have begun online. They are also investigating whether any money was exchanged for the illicit material.
"Nobody's doing it for free. We're still trying to figure out if there was any money exchanged... There's always money involved in it some place" Gualtieri said, while indicating that financial gain is often a motive in such child pornography cases.
Detectives are also trying to determine how many other people the mother may have sent the videos to.
Investigators believe the girl's father, who lived in the same home, was completely unaware of the sexual abuse happening to his daughter. The sheriff's office confirmed there is no indication that the victim's sibling was involved.
Authorities have assured the public that the child is now safe with her father and is receiving support.
"DCF (Department of Children and Families) is very involved in this, and they're going to pay close attention to it. We're going to make sure that the right thing is done by her and that she gets services," Gualtieri stated.
The mother made her first court appearance on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, where a judge ordered she have no contact with her daughter.
The issue of bond will be decided at a later date, though many of the charges she faces do not qualify for bond.
This case is part of a larger, alarming trend. Since January 2025, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has arrested 84 people on over 900 charges related to possessing or distributing child pornography.
"The predators who like watching kids engage in sex with dogs and then go online to try to meet kids to have sex with them are nothing but predators," Gualtieri added.
