In Georgia, a daycare worker finds herself in legal trouble following her arrest after being caught on video physically mistreating a 4-year-old boy at the Sunshine Child Learning Center earlier this month.
Vivian Rankins (pictured above), aged 67, now faces charges of second-degree cruelty to children, as stated by the Snellville Police Department.
The disturbing incident unfolded on September 9 at the Sunshine Child Learning Center, leading to Rankins' arrest.
The Snellville Police Department shared on Facebook that Rankins was apprehended after law enforcement reviewed a video evidence that clearly depicted her physically assaulting the young child.
Surveillance footage obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta shows Rankins shaking and pushing the boy.

The mother of the victim, Samerramise Gibson, learned about the assault from another concerned parent. Gibson expressed her anger and concern, stating, "I was livid. You hurt my son."
She had requested Rankins to share the video footage, which was only provided six days later. Upon viewing it, the family promptly filed a report.
The child had been attending the Sunshine Child Learning Center for three years prior to the distressing incident. Jordan Denton, the boy's father, expressed his outrage at the footage, emphasizing that no reason justifies such treatment of a 4-year-old.
The Snellville Police Department is actively investigating the incident, and further details are pending.
Meanwhile, in Tembisa, Gauteng, a dramatic cash-in-transit heist unfolded as seven suspects launched an attack on a G4S vehicle, leaving authorities in pursuit of the culprits. See detailed story here
